This policy explains what personal data Operilo LTD collects, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it. We have tried to write it in plain English rather than legal boilerplate.

What we collect, and why
Waitlist signups
When you join our waitlist we collect:
- Your email address - so we can contact you about early access and launch.
- The kind of business you run - chosen from a list, so we can tell you about the assistants most likely to be relevant to you.
- Anything you write in the optional message box - this appears only on the form at the foot of the page, and only if you choose to fill it in. Please do not put confidential or sensitive details in it.
- The date and time you signed up, the consent wording you agreed to, the language you signed up in, and which of the two forms you used - so we can demonstrate that you gave consent, as UK GDPR requires us to, and write to you in the right language.
Lawful basis: consent. You gave it by ticking the box on the signup form, which asks only for permission to email you early-access and launch updates about Operilo. We will not use your address for other marketing without asking you separately. You can withdraw consent at any time, and withdrawing it is as easy as giving it - use the unsubscribe option provided in our emails, or email info@operilo.com.
How long we keep it: until you unsubscribe, or 24 months from the date you signed up, whichever comes first. If you go on to become a customer, we keep your details after that point under the separate retention terms that apply to customers.
Visiting the website
Serving a website means our hosting provider necessarily handles basic connection data - your IP address, the page you asked for, your browser’s user-agent string and similar request information. This is how a page gets delivered to you at all, and it is also how a host detects and blocks abuse.
We do not use this data to identify you, to build a profile, or to measure how you behave on the site.
Lawful basis: legitimate interests - operating, securing and maintaining our own website.
How long it is kept: this is held by our hosting provider under their own arrangements. We do not keep a separate copy of it.
Website analytics
We do not currently use website analytics or tracking technologies to measure visitor behaviour, and no analytics provider receives data about your visit. If we introduce one, we will update this policy before it goes live.
If you become a customer
Running an assistant for a business customer is a separate processing activity from anything described on this page. It is governed by the customer agreement and data processing agreement we enter into with that business, not by this policy - which covers our own website and waitlist only.
If you are considering Operilo for your business and want to know how that data would be handled, email info@operilo.com and we will send you the current terms.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. Our current service providers for this website are:
- Resend (Resend, Inc., USA) - the email delivery service we use to send your waitlist submission to info@operilo.com.
- Vercel (Vercel Inc., USA) - hosts and serves this website, and runs the serverless function that receives and validates what you submit through the waitlist form. It also handles the connection data that serving a website involves, such as your IP address.
We use no analytics or tracking provider. The fonts this site uses are served from our own domain rather than from a font service, so no third party receives a request simply because a page loaded.
Transfers outside the UK. Both providers above are US companies, so waitlist submissions and website connection data are processed in the United States. Vercel’s data processing terms for our plan incorporate the Standard Contractual Clauses together with the UK International Data Transfer Addendum. Resend’s data processing agreement is incorporated into their terms and relies on the Standard Contractual Clauses as amended by the UK Addendum. Both transfers are therefore covered by a recognised safeguard.
Cookies
The public website does not currently use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy and put in place any consent or notice mechanism required for the final configuration.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have a number of rights over your personal data. Depending on the circumstances, and subject to the conditions and exemptions that apply under that law, you may have the right to:
- be told what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy of it;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data deleted;
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting anything we did before you withdrew it.
To exercise any of these, email info@operilo.com. We will respond within one month of receiving your request, though that period can be extended where the law allows.
Complaints
If you think we have handled your data badly, please tell us first - we would rather fix it. You also have the right to complain directly to the UK's data protection regulator:

Languages
This policy is published in English and Hebrew. If the two versions differ, the English version is the one that applies.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page. If the change materially affects how we use data you have already given us, we will email you about it.
